Rochester Man Convicted of Sex Trafficking Young Girls

Federal prosecutors say a 30-year-old Rochester man has been found guilty of conspiring to recruit underage girls to commit commercial sex acts. A jury also found Stephen Jones guilty of sex trafficking minors and adults by force, fraud or coercion. Jones was accused of conspiring with others between 2011 and 2014 to target and manipulate seven minor girls and two adults, persuading them they could earn money as prostitutes. Jones specialized in recruiting women at shelters and outside the Department of Social Services, promising quick money and drugs.His partners in the trafficking ring have already been tried and convicted.
