The Rochester Marathon will take place this weekend and the city wants to make sure drivers are aware of road closures and delays. The Rochester 5K & Kids Marathon will take place on Saturday and the Rochester Marathon will take place on Sunday. The marathon begins at 7:30 a.m. at Maplewood Drive in Maplewood Park and officials say traffic will be heavy on State Street and other parts of northwest Rochester. Officials say while streets are closed local residential traffic will be delayed but accommodated. The Rochester Police Department will divert traffic around closed areas.
