The New York State Fair is adding four new parking lots beginning this weekend.
The park-and-ride lots will add 2,500 spaces. Officials hope to prevent a repeat of the traffic gridlock fueled by a record crowd last Sunday.
Governor Cuomo today urged fair visitors to use the new lots and shuttles that will take visitors to the main entry gate at the fair.
The new lots open Saturday at Syracuse Hancock International Airport, the Central New York Regional Market off Park Street in Syracuse and John Glenn Boulevard and Farrell Road in Salina.
