Drug treatment and recovery advocates will gather today for an awareness event in downtown Rochester.
It's sponsored by the non-profit group SOARS --Substance Overdose Awareness Recovery Services. The group wants to prevent overdose deaths through education, with a focus on addicts and their families.
The gathering is set for 3 until 8 pm at Martin Luther King Jr Memorial Park and will include speakers, information tables and music. It'll wrap up with a candlelight vigil.
