Father of Fairport Assault Suspect Apologizes

A grand jury has indicted the Fairport man accused of punching an 82-year-old man at a gas station. Robert Sayer Jr. is facing at least one felony charge. His father tells 13 WHAM he believes his son was experiencing paranoia and thought someone was out to get him. He says his son's radical behavior began after President Trump was elected. Meantime, a man who was was in a group of gamers with Sayer says Sayer was kicked out for threatening a member with a noose. The gamer tells Channel 10 he recognized Sayer in a video from the alt-right rally this month in Charlottesville.
