There may be new life for the stalled resort project on Canandaigua Lake. Work stopped nearly two years ago after construction of the steel frame of the planned hotel and condo building. The Canandaigua City Council has voted to apply for a three-quarter-million dollar state Community Development grant that could help re-start construction. Officials say the project may qualify for the grant because it could mean jobs for low- to moderate income workers and boost the local economy. A decision on the grant application could come this fall.
