State Police Cracking Down on Speeding This Week

New York State Police are going to be cracking down on speeding this week. 

State Police say their “Speed Week” campaign runs through next Tuesday in an effort to crack down on speeding and aggressive drivers across the state. 

Speeding is listed as a contributing factor in nearly one third of all fatal crashes in New York State. 

During last years Speed Week campaign, State Police issued more than 21,600 traffic tickets, including 10,500 tickets for speeding, and nearly 650 for distracted driving.
