Mayor Lovely Warren Launches Program to Combat Opioid Abuse

Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren has announced a new program in the city to help drug addicts. It's called Street to Treatment. When officers encounter addicts in the North Clinton neighborhood they will take them to the Evelyn Brandon Center on Lake Avenue for treatment. Patients can get clinical care, support, referrals and/or transportation to another treatment facility. The service is intended for people who are coherent and not in need of immediate medical treatment. The patient must agree to seek help.
