City Ethics Board To Consider Complaint Brought by Mayoral Candidate

Rochester's city ethics board meets tonight to consider the complaint brought against city officials by mayoral candidate Rachel Barnhart.

She says officials crossed the line when City Hall hosted an Uber "job fair" last month. Barnhart wants the ethics board to subpoena all communications about the event between the city staff, Uber and it's marketing firm Mercury Public Affairs.

Barnhart alleges the city improperly showed favorable treatment to a corporation, used city property for the benefit of a corporation and allowed a former city employee to represent a corporation in a manner adverse to the city.
