A Pittsford mother was arrested Sunday at Eastview Mall, accused of leaving her son alone in a store for more than two hours. According to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called around 5:35 p.m. for a lost child complaint at the Lego Store. Investigators said a ten-year-old boy was left unsupervised inside the store for more than two hours. Deputies said "the child did not know the whereabouts of [his mother] during that time period and had no way of contacting her." Jian Fan, 44, was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child. There is a sign in the window of the store that states children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
