Rochester police say a man taken into custody after a standoff at his home will face criminal charges.
Police got a call from a woman on the city's eastside about a threat by her ex-boyfriend -- that led police to the man's home on Dewey Avenue near Augustine Street.
Police considered him a possibly barricaded gunman. Edwin Perez surrendered to a SWAT team and was not armed.
He's charged with criminal contempt and aggravated harassment. A woman was also led out of the home. Residents all over the county received 911 alerts telling them to stay indoors.
