Jurors See Murder Weapon in Rideout Case

Jurors in the Rideout murder trial are expected today to see evidence collected at Devils Bathtub in Mendon Ponds Park. Authorities allege Craig Rideout's sons, Alex and Colin, were there to get rid of evidence connected to his killing. The young men, their mother and her boyfriend are on trial for Craig Rideout's murder. Jurors yesterday saw a picture of the bloody ligature that prosecutors say was used to strangle Rideout to death last July in Penfield. His body was found covered in a tarp in Yates County. Prosecutors say there's no escaping the brutality of the Craig Rideout murder once you see the weapon that killed him.
