Greece Police Investigators Looking For Help Solving Cold Case

Investigators with the Greece Police Department are asking for the public’s help solving a 41-year-old cold case.

Police are hoping to identify a young child whose skeletal remains were discovered inside a blue metal storage trunk in the basement of an apartment complex in Greece on March 9, 1976.

Greece police worked with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children to have the child’s DNA tested, and found that the child was a boy and had brown hair.

Authorities say the child was found wearing a light blue pajama top with a deer design on it. He was also wearing a plastic diaper that was fastened with two stainless steel diaper pins.

A facial reconstruction showing how the child may have looked has been posted below.
