LONSBERRY: "Attack, Attack, Attack" not "Run, Hide, Call"

Run, hide, call.

That's what the London authorities counsel.

When terrorists attack, run away, hide if you can, telephone the police for help.

That's what they do in England.

In America, we do it a bit different.

Attack, attack, attack.

That's how Americans must respond to terrorism. We must fight back. Every time, every place, every way.

When the jihadis plow through crowds with their trucks, and hop out with their machetes, we must attack them and kill them. We must be the predators, not the prey. Every American must be a defender of the homeland, every American must be a first responder, every American must be a warrior.

Think lion, not sheep.

And think outrage, not fear; victory, not defeat.

We are not victims, we are conquerors.

Don't get frightened, get pissed.

And run at them. Distract them, delay them, deny them -- kill them.

Run them down, shoot them down, choke them out, stomp them, slice them open, bash their heads.

When the jihadi comes into the night club, or the office party, or the medical office -- or any number of other places that have likewise been attacked in America -- respond to his attack with an immediate counterattack of your own. Take the initiative, disrupt the plan, provide a delaying action so that others can escape and authorities can respond.

This is your D-Day. This is your Iwo Jima. This is your day to save America.

And you should be ready -- mentally, physically and materially -- to fight.

Mental preparedness means thinking it through, and deciding what you will do before a situation arises. It means having the attitude that you will fight back, that you will respond to any threat by taking on that threat, by having a predisposition to defense.

Physical preparedness means doing what you can, through general fitness, to be as prepared to fight as possible. Maybe that's 50 pushups before bed, or a membership at a gym, or some time on a heavy bag. Physical fitness is always a benefit -- including in that one-in-a-million moment when you actually have to fight.

Material preparedness can mean being armed.

Where legal, the regular carrying of a concealed handgun should be seen as a civic duty. Being competent with that handgun likewise is a duty. In almost all situations, pocketknives are legal. Any WalMart will sell you a knife that you can open with one hand and which will have a clip that will attach to your pocket or purse. Carry one of those everywhere. Practice opening it and gripping it.

Don't be intimidated by the fear that having a weapon requires skill or training you don't have or can't acquire. Something is better than nothing, and at the end of the day "point and shoot" isn't just about photography.

What matters is that in the moment of jihadi attack you meet that attack with as much force as you can muster. The terrorist will have a plan. You can derail or delay that plan. You can distract that attacker and save lives. You can seize the initiative and take control of the battle field.

And, yes, unarmed people can take on armed people. You can throw things, you can use objects as clubs, you can strangle and gouge and crush. And you may be injured, you may fall. But while there is life and breath in you, let there be fight in you.

Liberty's torch and the American flag need to be upheld, and your faltering hand can take its turn.

Other people need to be defended. Those who cannot fight need to be shielded. Moments need to be bought. You can do all those things.

And if some savage can believe that his god has his back, you can have the faith that your God has yours. And they that be with us are more than they that be with them. David won his fight, and Joshua won his, and you can win yours. The armies of pharaoh have lost before.

You just have to stand and fight.

The police will get there when they get there, but until they do, you are there -- and it all depends on you.

And we're not going to run, hide and call.

We're going to attack, attack, attack.
