Uber and Lyft are coming to Upstate New York in time for the Fourth of July.
The state Assembly has approved the bill to fast track ridesharing outside of New York City by ten days. The state Senate had already approved the bill. A spokesperson for Governor Cuomo says the governor intends to sign the bill.
The legislation allows ride-hailing services to operate in Rochester and other upstate cities on June 29th. Uber is holding a job fair for drivers next Wednesday at City Hall in Rochester.
