Two Orleans County Sheriff Deputies are facing charges after being arrested today.
New York State Police say they have charged Sergeant Dean Covis of Albion and Deputy Thomas Marano of Brockport with grand larceny and falsifying business records.
State Police say following an investigation it was revealed that between November of 2013 and January of 2015, Covis and Marano filled out false time sheets and received payments from a private company they worked security for, while simultaneously working at the Orleans County Sheriff’s Office.
They were arraigned on the charges and released on their own recognizance.
