School District Budgets on the Ballot Across the State Today

Voters in most of the state's school districts vote today on district budgets for the coming academic year.

Only one area district is asking voters to exceed the state's two percent property tax cap. Pittsford is looking to use the extra revenue, in part, to launch full-time kindergarten. Exceeding the cap will require a 60 percent yes vote.

Meanwhile, voters in Fairport are being asked to approve a budget that cuts 26 teacher positions.
