The Rochester school board will host a public hearing this evening to take comments on a proposal for a new charter school in the city.
If approved, the Rochester River Charter School would open in September 2018 with about 200 students in grades K through 2.
The school would eventually expand to about 500 students in grades K through 6. The hearing starts at 5:30 in the 3rd floor conference room at Central Office on West Broad Street.
