The SUNY trustees are expected this afternoon to formally appoint engineer Kristina Johnson to be the next SUNY chancellor.
Johnson helped develop 3-D movie technology and held a top position in the U.S. Energy Department under President Obama.
She will be the SUNY system's 13th chancellor -- succeeding Nancy Zimpher, who is stepping down at the end of May.
