Pittsford Man Charged in Baseball Bat Beating

Rochester, NY -- A Pittsford man is facing assault charges for alleging clobbering a man with a bat.

It happened late Tuesday night at a home on South Street, and deputies are calling it a domestic assault. They say 67-year-old James Peppers had been arguing with the victim all evening. The men threw punches at each other, and Peppers allegedly struck the other man repeatedly in the head with the bat.

The victim suffered potentially life-threatening wounds.

Peppers was treated for minor injuries and jailed on $15,000 cash bail.
