The Rochester City school board is scheduled this evening to hold the first of two public hearings on the next school budget.
It's an opportunity for parents and others to comment on funding priorities for the coming year.
Superintendent Barbara Deane-Williams' proposed budget totals $791 million. Her plan would cut costs at the main office and add 144 teacher positions to boost graduation rates.
The hearing will be held at 6 p.m. in the 3rd floor conference room at the Central Office Building on West Broad Street.
The second public budget hearing will be held on Tuesday, April 4th at the same time and place.
