Evacuations Made Following Detection Of Carbon Monoxide at Emanuel Temple Church

Rochester fire officials say two adults and a child were taken to the hospital as a precaution after high levels of carbon monoxide were found yesterday at the Emanuel Temple Church on Seneca Parkway.

Firefighters evacuated everyone, and RG&E determined the deadly fumes were coming from an improperly installed furnace.

Fire crews ventilated the building, and eight people were treated at the scene.
