NYSP: 2 hurt after three vehicle crash in Alabama

Alabama, NY-State Police are investigating a crash in which two people from Medina were seriously injured in the Town of Alabama this morning.

Troopers say around 9:30 a.m. a tractor-trailer turned off Lewiston Road onto Alleghany Road (NY 77 South) when a southbound car failed to stop at the intersection.

The car went under the trailer of the semi, shearing off the top of the car in the process.  The car hit another vehicle and a building before coming to rest.

The driver, Donna Wolter, 69, suffered head injuries.  Her passenger Purcil E. Buzard, 81, was taken by Mercy Flight to Strong Hospital with severe injuries.
