J.C. Penny has released its list of stores that will be closing this year.
Of the 138 stores closing nationwide, only three are in New York and none of them are close to Rochester.
One is in Dunkirk, and the other two are downstate, in Rockland and Nassau counties.
J.C. Penny says it will save around $200 million per year with the store closures, as they are trying to pay off over $4 billion in long-term debts. Stores will begin to close on April 17th.
