A gofundme account has been set up to pay for the funeral expenses of Charlotte Lahr. The 46-year-old was murdered inside Char's South Avenue Wine and Liquor. Police said Kevin Quander robbed Lahr's store just before 5 p.m. on Thursday. Police said he was armed with a knife. According to court papers, Quander "repeatedly beat the victim about the head and face with a wine bottle, causing her death." Quander was arraigned Saturday on charges of first-degree murder and first-degree robbery. He pleaded not guilty and is being held in the Monroe County Jail. Quander is currently on parole for a 2007 first-degree robbery conviction. He was released from prison on Jan. 12. Quander was sentenced to nine years in prison and five years of post-release supervision.
