Business owner and activist Alex White plans to formally announce today he is running as the Green Party candidate.
He previously ran for the office in 2011 and 2013.
Former police chief James Sheppard and former TV reporter Rachel Barnhart are the announced Democrats in the race.
Incumbent Democrat Lovely Warren has not said whether she'll seek re-election.
