Rochester Man Facing Charges For Making False Calls to 911

A Rochester man is facing 37 counts of falsely reporting an incident after authorities say he made numerous calls to 911 for fake emergencies.

The Rochester Fire Department’s Arson Task Force has charged Michael King for making dozens of false calls to 911 since May of 2015.

Authorities say some of those calls included false reports of building fires, natural gas leaks and discovery of dead bodies.

The Arson Task Force executed a search warrant yesterday at a home on Jefferson Avenue, and found numerous cell phones believed to have been used to make some of those 911 calls.
