Rochester House Fire Was Intentionally Set

Rochester, NY -- Rochester fire officials say a north side house fire before dawn Thursday morning was intentionally set.

The flames were visible in the rear of a home at 78 Kosciusko street around 6 a.m.

Firefighters say the tenant had left before the fire and no one was hurt. Crews were able to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby homes.

The house is in the same block where a house fire claimed a life in October 2015.
