Arrest Made Following Vehicle Fire in Rochester

A Fairport man is facing charges for allegedly setting a vehicle on fire over the weekend.

The Rochester Fire Department’s Arson Task Force has charged Hocine Taouzinet with arson and criminal mischief charges for intentionally setting fire to a car that was parked on Hudson Avenue early Saturday morning.

Authorities say Taouzinet fled the scene but returned two hours later and was taken into custody by police.

Authorities believe Taouzinet set the fire following a violent dispute he had with others.
