The search for the two missing snowmobilers in Livingston County has wrapped up for the fourth day, still with no new traces of the missing men.
Sheriff Tom Dougherty says they will suspend the search for now until the ice melts enough for them to scan a wider area of Conesus Lake. At best, he says that could be a few days. At worst, it could mean spring.
Dougherty says he's met with the families of the missing men and explained the situation.Boats and hovercraft were used with sonar scanners, searching beneath the surface of Conesus Lake where they two men vanished last weekend. Christopher Copeland of Livonia and Jason Fluet of Rochester were last seen early Saturday and are believed to have fallen through thin ice and drowned.
