Mendon N.Y.-Monroe County Deputies have chaged a man in connection with a shooting that happened over the weekend inside a Mendon restaurant.
70 year old John Cassata is facing charges that include first degree reckless endangerment, a felony, and third degree assault. He was arraigned in Mendon Town Court and released on bail.
Cassata, who suffered a serious hand injury, told deputies he was showing his gun to some frineds inside of the Cottage Hotel on Saturday when it accidentally went off. The bullet went through Cassata's hand, struck him in the leg then grazed his friends ankle.
