The clock is running on curbing runaway inflation. So said Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell in a speech.
He insisted the Fed is committed to keeping inflation from taking hold of the U.S. economy over the longer term.
Powell didn't rule out more interest rate hikes as inflation runs at its highest level in more than 40 years.
Powell said the Fed's ongoing goal is to slow down growth without crashing the economy.
