Rochester Man Convicted in Deadly Hit-and-Run and Teen Sex Abuse

Two Rochester juries have delivered guilty verdicts, a week apart, in the separate trials of the same man.

Rodney Lowman was convicted Friday of manslaughter in a deadly hit-and-run in 2022 on North Winton Road, near Blossom.

36-year-old Richard Massey Jr. was struck and killed while he was on the side of the road helping a friend who'd been involved in a minor car accident with Lowman.

Lowman's involvement in the crash was discovered a year later, when he was arrested for firing a gun during a domestic dispute at a home on Sherwood Avenue.

He was charged with reckless endangerment and sex acts involving a teenage girl there.

He was convicted on September 25th.

Sentencing is set for December 1.
