A Rochester man is now indicted on a second-degree murder charge in the stabbing death of a homeless man last month.
32-year-old Antonio McKnight was arrested after allegedly stabbing 59-year-old Laverne Singletary in the chest at the corner of Clifford and Portland Avenues.
Singletary was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he died.
Police believe the two men argued in a corner parking lot before the stabbing.
McKnight was previously convicted of assault for stabbing a man in 2019.
That incident happened after a fight outside the Transit Center downtown.
