Rochester Man Pleads Guilty to Thanksgiving Day Shooting

The man charged in a shooting on the city's southwest side on Thanksgiving has pleaded guilty to an assault charge.

28-year-old Abdi Mohammed admitted to shooting a man in his 20s at least 10 times on Exchange Street, near Flint Street, then robbing him.

The victim was left lying for about 7 hours, before flagging a passing jogger for help.

The wounds were life-threatening, but the man survived.

Mohammed is expected to receive 16-and-a-half years in prison.
