Rochester Man Sentenced in Deadly Shooting of Car Theft Suspect

The Rochester man accused of killing a man who stole his wife's car over two years ago has been sentenced to 13 years in prison.

Police say 38-year-old Byron Bell Junior shot 18-year-old Ja'hod Snow in June 2023, while Snow was driving near Laser Street and Joseph Avenue.

Snow crashed into a utility pole and died at the scene.

Bell apparently was able to track the vehicle by its GPS tracking device.

He pleaded guilty to manslaughter last September.
