Man Sentenced to 25 to Life in Murder at Rochester Gas Station

A judge has sentenced a twice-convicted felony offender to 25-years-to-life for the murder of a Rochester man last summer.

Police arrested 46-year-old Herbert Montgomery after a fight in a North Street gas station led to him stabbing the victim in the neck.

38-year-old Christopher Austin died of his injuries.

Montgomery was convicted of second degree murder.

He was on federal probation at the time of the murder.
