Greece police are crediting quick teamwork with Irondequoit police and the Monroe County Sheriff's Office for leading to the arrest of a suspect in an early morning burglary.
The GPD says they were called to a West Ridge Road gas station to find the glass front door smashed in and merchandise stolen.
They were able to identify a suspect vehicle and license plate.
Soon Monroe County deputies let Greece officers know they had stopped the same vehicle on Chili Avenue about half-an-hour before the break-in.
And a short time after that, Irondequoit Police stopped 47-year-old Juan Merced on Strathmore Circle.
He was arrested and charged with burglary, criminal mischief and petit larceny.
He was being held for arraignment at the County Jail.
