One of two men charged in a deadly beating early in Rochester last Christmas morning will serve 25 years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release.
23-year-old Brucewayne Beaman pleaded guilty to manslaughter in October.
He admitted in court in to pistol whipping and kicking 60-year-old Michael DiCesar during a robbery at the corner of Bay Street and Portland Avenue. At sentencing today, he apologized to the DiCesare family.
DiCesare suffered serious head injuries and never regained consciousness before dying in the hospital.
Co-defendant Guy Mustgray the Second refused a plea deal, and is scheduled to go to trial next March.
