Most of NYS Concealed Carry Law Upheld

Part of a state gun law that allows the state to ban concealed carry in "sensitive places" like parks, schools, and theaters has been upheld.

A federal appeals court panel kept large portions of the 2022 law.

The panel agreed with another ruling from earlier this month that struck down the portion that banned gun owners from carrying on private property without expressed consent of property owners.

The case is expected to be appealed all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.
