A former top aide to Governor Kathy Hochul and her husband are under arrest, after the aide was charged with acting as a Chinese agent.
Linda Sun and her husband Christopher Hu were taken into custody this morning, following an FBI raid of their Long Island home earlier this summer.
According to a 64-page indictment, Sun is being accused of blocking representatives from Taiwan's governor from visiting the New York governor's office.
The indictment also alleges that Sun made millions of dollars as a foreign agent of China, and Sun and Hu allegedly laundered kickbacks to purchase their multi-million-dollar home.
The two are expected in Brooklyn federal court this afternoon.
