Teen Charged with Murder in Fatal Brighton Crash

A Rochester teen is facing 2nd-degree murder and reckless endangerment in the stolen car crash last week that killed an elderly Brighton man.

Police say 17-year-old Theodice Parks was the driver who plowed into a car at Elmwood Avenue in Brighton last Thursday.

92-year-old Thomas Chase was killed in the crash.

Parks also allegedly tried to hit an officer with the car as he tried to speed away from police.

His passengers, 19-year-olds Theophilus Parks and Trevan Simmons, are also facing charges: Parks for possession of stolen property and Simmons a weapons charge for the ghost gun found inside the stolen Kia after the crash.
