A Rochester parolee convicted in a homicide that happened more than two years ago will serve 19 years to life in prison.
33-year-old Whitney Morris was found guilty of second-degree murder in December.
Prosecutors say he shot Christopher Porchea to death during an attempted robbery at North Clinton Avenue and Norton Street in November 2021.
Morris was on parole at the time for sexually abusing a 7-year-old girl.
