Rochester Double-Homicide Suspect Arrested in Puerto Rico

Rochester police have arrested a man in Puerto Rico, and charged him with both first and second degree murder in a pair of homicides that happened back in February.

Police say all three men involved were thrown out of a bar on North Goodman Street by bouncers after they got into an altercation.

They say 42-year-old Hector Ramos-Diaz was thrown out of the bar first, and waited until 49-year-old Wahid Nazario and 43-year-old Frank Rosario Vazquez left the bar.

Then he pulled out a gun and fired at least 18 shots at the two men.

Both were found lying in the street, dead at the scene.

Homicide investigators identified Ramos-Diaz as the shooter and learned he had fled to Puerto Rico.

He's been extradited back to Rochester and will be arraigned on Monday.
