A Rochester man who took a plea deal in a fatal shooting in Rochester's 19th Ward will serve 25 years in prison.
24-year-old Troy Jones pleaded guilty last month to 1st-degree manslaughter.
Prosecutors say he took part in the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Brandon McClary in June 2021 on Genesee Street, near Sawyer Street.
Co-defendant Dayvon Dunbar also pleaded guilty to 1st-degree manslaughter in the shooting.
A third man, Willie Shipmon, was also charged, but his murder trial ended in a mistrial because of juror misconduct, and an appellate court ruled he can't be retried because of double jeopardy.
