Rochester Parolee Charged After Chase, Crash

A Rochester man on parole from a gun conviction is facing robbery, gun, and drug charges following a chase through the city.

Officers on patrol on Lyell Avenue last night spotted a vehicle stolen from two men during a gunpoint robbery earlier in the evening.

The driver refused to stop, crashed on North Clinton Avenue, and tried to make a run for it.

With help from a police dog, officers arrested 23-year-old Victor Hester.

They recovered a gun reported stolen from Irondequoit, 150 vials of suspected narcotics, and more than $4000 in cash.
