The state budget negotiations are dragging on in private, but we are hearing more reports about what issues are and are not on the table.
Spectrum News reports negotiators are looking at a gradual increase in the state's minimum wage to $17 an hour by 2026 on the New York City area and by 2028 in the rest of the state. After that, increases would be tied to the inflation rate.
Meantime, sources tell Spectrum the budget reportedly won't include a tuition increase for in-state students at the state's public colleges and universities.
