Reawaken America Rally Host Says AG Trying to Silence Christian Voices

The Batavia pastor hosting this weekend's Reawaken America rally says the state Attorney General Letitia James is trying to silence Christian voices.

Pastor Paul Doyle, at Cornerstorne Church, says James warned him in a letter that the rally could promote “extremist or racially motivated violence.”

He says the letter is a form of intimidation -- and borders on defamation.

But James' office says the Reawaken America tour is a "traveling carnival of hate speech..."

The rallies are planned for today and tomorrow.

They were moved to Cornerstone after Rochester's Main Street Armory withdrew as the host venue.
