Low-Income New Yorkers May See Utility Bill Credits Starting Next Week

Low-income New Yorkers could see credits on their utility bills, beginning next week.

The governor says $567 million in credits will show up in time for the August billing cycle.

Customers in the Energy Affordability Program are eligible for the credit -- as are those who enroll in the program by the end of this year.

It's estimated 327,000 state residents will be eligible.
