Couple Accused of Defrauding Walmarts Nationwide Arrested in Wyoming County

A Long Island couple accused of defrauding Walmarts around the country have been arrested in Wyoming County.

Deputies say they found over $8,600 worth of merchandise and gift cards in a vehicle belonging to 56-year-old Scott Campagnola and 55-year-old Diane Mankowski.

Ledgers found in the car detailed a scheme stealing from Walmarts from California to Maine.

Campagnola faces burglary and other counts, while Mankowski is charged with criminal possession of stolen property.

Both are convicted felons.

Campagnola is being held without bail, while Mankowski was released on an appearance ticket
